Hampton Inn Hagerstown-I-81

A nice hotel with all the amenities tucked away in a strange and convenient location. Located just off the highway without giving motel vibes. Nestled between several industrial type businesses and yet very quiet. The hotel is pet friendly so some rooms smell a little like dog. The pet relief area is clean and well maintained. The other hotel amenities life fitness and business centers, pool, laundromat, vending and ice machines all work and offer all the conveniences in this area. The staff is great. The front desk folks are helpful and courteous. The housekeeping staff are like ninjas. Rooms looked clean and they were quick to bring you convenience items you might have forgotten.

We had stayed at this Hampton Inn a few years ago so it is not a new facility, but the hotel is clean and the decor looked newer and refreshed. The room furnishings reflect some of the new design elements seen in the Tru hotels. The TVs at some hotels look like they are 10 years old, but at this hotel the high def TV seemed new and had a sharp clear picture. The room furnishings provided a lot of flat top space for unpacking your items and there were plenty of electrical outlets. We stayed in a room on the front side of the hotel and for as close as the building is to I-81 the room was very quiet. The breakfast bar was fully stocked, and the attendant was on her “A game” in that she provided a friendly conversation while making sure items were kept stocked. There are 2 items I would recommend to management. First the street lights along Peak Circle need to be on. The road is very dark and after a long day of driving it is hard to see the left turn off Crayton Blvd. with tired eyes. Secondly, the 3 bathroom modern looking wall hooks are designed for strap handled items. If you have a travel bag that is hung by a hook similar to a hanger, it is impossible to keep it on those 3 hooks. A more traditional wall hook would work much better. In summary, we will definitely stay at this hotel on future trips.

Good location. Near the freeway and several dining choices, tho none within walking distance. Staff is super friendly. Breakfast was good. Typical Hampton inn staple. Front desk had to go breakfasts lined up. Nice touch. Room was nice and clean. Housekeeping didn't clean my room at my request but while In the hall, one of them was super nice and asked if I needed anything. Room has several USB plugs and work station was good. Gym had several cardio machines and weights. Indoor pool. Shop at front desk had a great selection of food.
